Big Smoke Brew Co to open Heathrow Airport location

Big Smoke Brew Co, the Surrey-based brewery, is opening the Big Smoke Taphouse & Kitchen at London Heathrow Airport this month.

The airside destination is a partnership with Airport Retail Enterprises (ARE) and will be located at Heathrow, Terminal 2.

Big Smoke have produced a beer and a gin to be sold exclusively at Heathrow; Flight Mode, a crisp and refreshing 4% pilsner and Taphouse London Dry Gin which will be available with personalised labels that can be created while you wait.

Big Smoke Brew Co’s own range of locally produced beers, cider and gins will also be available – including 6 draught options, 6 cans in the fridge and 3 gins on the bar. This range is backed up by a large selection of other beers, wines, spirits, cocktails and soft drinks.

Opening in May, Big Smoke Taphouse & Kitchen seamlessly blends a modern attention to detail with comfortable surroundings and a very warm welcome.

The well-curated food menu has plenty for everyone at all times of day, with a focus on comforting pub classics, all day breakfasts and sharing dishes.

The pub and restaurant will be certified Covid-safe to trade, and will feature order- at-table / pay-at-table technology to provide customers with the convenience and safety of being able to order and pay for their meals and drinks from their own phones.

Rich Craig, who launched Big Smoke Brew Co with his business partner James Morgan in 2014, said: “We’re very excited to showcase our range of beers and gins to people traveling from Heathrow.

“Our brewery is based only 8 miles from the airport so we are offering passengers a truly local experience. The brand-new Big Smoke Taphouse & Kitchen represents everything that we love about modern beer and pubs and we can’t wait to welcome our first guests”.

ARE Director John Butts added: “ARE is incredibly proud to be commencing our partnership with Heathrow, and delighted that we are able to do so with such a fantastic brand in Big Smoke.

“This is an exciting opportunity to celebrate a truly local champion on one of the world’s largest international stages.”
