Big debut for non-alcoholic hop drink

US Indiana City Brewing Company is introducing its Primo dry hopped non-alcoholic sparkling water at this weekend’s Annual Winterfest Beer Festival in Indiana, reports The Beer Connoisseur.

Brewery staff will be handing out over 1,000 free pint cans during both days of the festival.

For brewers looking for alternatives drinks and uses of their existing equipment, hop sparkling water could be a option.

“We love great beer and pushing the evolution of craft beer in Indianapolis” says Indiana City Founder Ray Kamstra. “Primo is craft brewed for life and is an extension of our mission to be innovative and creative, especially when considering the importance of being present in all aspects of our daily lives. Because it contains no alcohol, Primo gives hop-forward beer lovers the opportunity to enjoy so many aspects of the beer experience anytime, anywhere.”

“Primo is brewed using everything we know about crafting great beer,” says head brewer, Nick Shadle. “Whirlpool and dry hop additions of citrusy aromatic hops pay homage to IPA’s signature hop character.”

In the summer of 2013, Indiana City Brewing Co. began brewing high-quality, handcrafted ales from the pre-prohibition era Bottling House on Indianapolis’ near eastside. Since then, they have received state-wide awards, released several successful series of limited release beers, brewed countless small-batch experimental beers, and have established series of bourbon barrel-aged beers.

Their brewery taproom, the Bottling House, is a place for the craft beer community to come together and local artists to display their work, perform and collaborate. Indiana City beer can be found on tap and on shelves at selection locations around the city. Indiana City takes great pride in Indianapolis, working hard to add to the craft brewing scene found there.
