Bourbon County Brand Stout returns to the UK

Bourbon County Brand Stout, a 14.7% beer from Chicago-based Goose Island, will be launched in the UK on the 23rd November.

The annual release of the hotly-anticipated beer will take place at Kill the Cat in Shoreditch, London and Ghost Whale in Brixton on the morning of the 23rd, as well as online on Beerhawk’s website later that day.

According to Goose Island, the beer is aged for more than four years in Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels, offering up flavours of cocoa, vanilla, caramel, almond, cherry.

Additional notes of leather and tobacco permeate this complex beer that deepens with each sip. In fact, one sip has more flavour than your average case of beer.

Goose Island Principal Brewmaster Jared Jankoski, added: “This is the third year we’ve brought this very special brew across the Atlantic and we’re stoked that Bourbon County Stout gets beer lovers in the UK as excited as those here in the US!

“Our original Bourbon County Stout is as good as when we first made it over two decades ago – you know, if it ain’t broke why try and fix it – and we can’t wait for British beer lovers to get a taste this Black Friday!”
