Save The Date | Beer Day Britain

Beer Day Britain 2018 falls on a Friday 15th June, leading into Father’s Day on June 17th, and organiser Jane Peyton believes all taking part should leverage this opportunity to push the nation’s favourite alcoholic drink.

Launched in 2015, the Beer Day Britain is designed for everyone who makes, sells and drinks beer to celebrate the national drink, brew special beers, host events in tap rooms and pubs while building up support on social media channels.

Jane Peyton implores you to get in touch if you brew a beer (ideally with new British hops) or host an event in your taproom.

She explains: “The focus of Beer Day Britain is the National Cheers To Beer at 7pm.  This entails people raising a glass of beer and saying ‘Cheers To Beer’ and then posting a social media message with the hashtag #CheersToBeer.  Last year the hashtag trended on Twitter all day as people used it from 10am onwards.

“Beer is the world’s favourite alcoholic drink and Britain’s national drink.  Beer Day Britain and the Say Cheers To Beer weekend is a chance to celebrate this essential libation and help to spread joy and conviviality.  Please join the national party!”
