The Porterhouse Brewing Company launches beers in UK

Ireland’s Porterhouse Brewing Company is bringing its beers, which include Porterhouse Oyster Stout, Porterhouse Plain Porter, Porterhouse Red Ale and Porterhouse Pilsner, to the UK.

The company, started 21 years ago, was founded by Liam LaHart and the late Oliver Hughes who opened Ireland’s first brewpub.

While the beers have been available at The Porterhouse pub on Maiden Lane in London’s Covent Garden, Boutique Bar Brands is bringing the beers to venues such as The Rake, Mason & Co and The King & Co.

The initial beer offering comprises four beers including the 4.6% Porterhouse Oyster Stout, which the brewery said is a “superbly balanced brew, smooth and rounded without being bland. More sweetness derived from fresh oysters shucked into the conditioning tank.”

It is also offering the Porterhouse Pilsner, Plain Porter and the Porterhouse Red Ale, a 4.2% traditional red ale that features Galena, Nugget, East Kent Goldings Hops and Pale malt, Crystal malt, Wheat malt, Chocolate malt.
