155-year-old brewery doing a rethink for better profits

Moorhouse Brewery’s managing director is seeing his turnaround plan for the brewery paying off, according to the Lancashire Telegraph.

Lee Williams efforts has seen the old brewery change a £275,000 loss into a £37,000 profit during the three years he has been there.

Part of this is down to an exciting experimental side at the brewery. While keeping Moorhouse’s traditional beers still being brewed, other small batch brews are beginning to take centre stage.

These include Mango Session and Tropical Crush IPAs, with Malkin Pale Ale, alongside Sabbath Flight, an American pale ale, have emerged as well as ‘Cheeky Vimto’ and rum porters, and coconut and mud pie stouts.
