The Brewers Lectures is a series of live events from the Brewers Journal. The half day lectures give a platform to six speakers to inspire change, generate discussion and share brewing expertise.
Throughout the year the lectures are hosted across the UK.

Ed Lennon |
CleanEarth Energy
Ed’s been Commercial Manager at CleanEarth Energy for 10 years, working with clients from SME’s to corporations in implementing solar power for their businesses. With over a decade of experience, Ed likes to take a consultative approach to solar projects, using his technical skills and expertise to design the perfect solar PV system for each client. Based in Cornwall, Ed has close ties to the brewing industry and has worked with over 15 breweries across the UK. He’s provided solar for 2024’s Sustainability Champion of the Year Wiper and True, Ludlow Brewing Co, and Verdant Brewing Co. He takes personal pride in guiding clients through every step of the solar journey, even helping them to secure the right funding options to make renewable energy more accessible.

Andy Parker |
Elusive Brewing
Andy Parker transitioned from a decorated homebrewing career to founding one of the most respected independent breweries in the country. Based in Finchampstead, Berkshire, Elusive Brewing is officially hitting double digits in 2026. An award-winning brewer, and the producer of countless award-winning beers, Andy believes in the importance cask beer plays in their range complementing their popular keg and canned output. When he's not being kept busy at Elusive, Andy is helping and inspiring the next generation of brewers.

Lotte Peplow |
Brewers Association
Lotte Peplow began her involvement with the Brewers Association, a trade association representing small and independent American craft brewers, in 2006 when a ground-breaking beer and food pairing event in London, UK which she helped organise, led to a long and successful relationship with the Brewers Association. She continued working for the Brewers Association on a freelance basis until 2014 when her role became more prominent and in 2019 she was awarded the title of American Craft Beer Ambassador for Europe, a position she continues to hold. Her role is to create opportunities for international expansion and market development of American craft beer, educate and inform the trade and industry about it and to promote the quality and variety of beer styles from America's small and independent craft brewers. Peplow is a Certified Cicerone, accredited Beer Sommelier, international beer judge, beer writer, host of beer-related talks and tastings, event organiser and keen advocate of beer and food pairing.

Georgina Young |
St Austell
Georgina Young is the multi-award winning brewing director at St Austell. As one of the UK’s most respected brewers, she joined St Austell Brewery in 2019 from Fuller’s and has inspired new generations of brewers, supporting the HIIT brewing apprenticeship scheme with the International Centre for Brewing Science (ICBS) at Nottingham University. The course launched in 2019, with St Austell Brewery being one of the first breweries in the country to take on those brewing apprentices. In recent years she led on brewing the company's first low-alcohol beer, Proper Job 0.5% IPA. The crisp, citrusy beer was the top pick in Good Housekeeping’s no and low-alcohol guide for January 2025, as well as winning Gold in the Taste of the West awards.
