Magic Rock’s annual Cannonball Run is returning following a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.
The Huddersfield-based brewery is celebrating the Cannonball Run, which pays homage to its first ever beer Cannonball IPA, with the most exciting run of limited release of beers yet, the company said.
This year, the three limited-edition hop-forward IPAs on offer are returning classics Neo-Human Cannonball and Human Cannonball, alongside new contender, West Coast inspired Superhuman Cannonball
They said: “Neo-Human Cannonball (9.2% ABV) is back and better than ever. The New England Double IPA delivers tropical flavours of mango, citrus, juicy passionfruit and tangerine alongside a healthy double dry hop to bring you a sweet aroma with maximum flavour.
“Meanwhile, Human Cannonball (9.2% ABV) is back with even more malt and hops to crank up the flavour of the original explosive IPA ‘Cannonball’. The West Coast Double IPA is seen as Cannonball’s big brother and certainly won’t disappoint. Get your tastebuds prepped for pine and candied orange aromas combined with bittersweet grapefruit and mango flavours, all complemented by a deeply composed, satisfyingly malty base.”

Elsewhere, the new kid on the block is Superhuman Cannonball (10% ABV) boasting tropically fruity fresh hops against a malty backbone, while a “rasping bitterness builds to deliver craft beer magic of the highest degree”.
They added: “This Imperial IPA is a nod to where it all began with even more local love included. For every can of Superhuman Cannonball sold Magic Rock will also be donating to one of the superhumans of the Huddersfield community, Streetbikes, a charity which helps raise awareness and support inclusive cycling.”
