RedWillow Brewery brings popular beer to Co-op

Feckless, the flagship best bitter of RedWillow Brewery, is now available in bottles at selected Co-op stores, in a partnership that brings together two northern institutions.

The much-loved 4.1% beer is a classic British bitter with rich toffee and malt balanced with the subtle flavours of Challenger, Goldings and Target hops.

It is now available in bottles at selected Co-op stores across the North West of England. The listing marks an exciting new chapter for one of the brewery’s most iconic beers, and reflects a growing appetite among retailers and consumers alike for quality, independently brewed ale.

The partnership came about following an approach from the Co-op’s beer buyer, who had long been an admirer of RedWillow’s range and was keen to explore a bottled version of Feckless specifically for the retailer. Conversations progressed through 2025, with the project gaining real momentum when Robinsons – the Stockport-based family brewer – became involved to coordinate packaging and production.

To mark the occasion, RedWillow revisited its roots for the label design, enlisting Jon Pink – the graphic designer behind the brewery’s original bottles and logo – to create the artwork for this new release. Despite a tight timeline, the resulting label stays true to the Feckless identity while feeling fresh and shelf-ready for a new retail environment.

Toby McKenzie, founder of RedWillow Brewery, said: “We’re genuinely thrilled to see Feckless reach a new audience through Co-op. It’s a beer that means a great deal to us, and having it available on shelves across the North West feels like a real milestone.

“Working with Jon again on the label design made it all the more special — it felt like bringing things full circle.”
