Track Brewing is bringing its Brewery Block Party concept to Macclesfield, teaming up seven independent venues with guest breweries for a town-wide tap takeover trail
Seven of Macclesfield’s best independent venues will each host a guest brewery for a one-day tap takeover on Saturday 15th August, as the Macc Party Beer Trail comes to town.
The event has been organised by Track Brewing, following the success of Manchester’s Brewery Block Parties and its outing to Stockport as the Stock Party. Rather than a single pop-up bar, the Macc Party Beer Trail sees each of the seven venues partner with a guest brewery, with the whole day tied together by music, food and a stamp card trail.
The full trail line-up is as follows:
- The Depot x Track Brewing
- R&G’s Beer Vault x Sureshot
- RedWillow Macclesfield x Cloudwater Brewery
- Five Clouds Tap and Bottle x Balance Brewing
- The Castle x Steelfish Brewing
- Bollington Brewery Taproom x Runaway Brewery
- Picturedrome Macclesfield x Blackjack Brew & The Brewery of St Mars of the Desert
On Saturday 15th August, from 12.00pm visitors can start at any participating venue and pick up a stamp card. Collecting stamps along the trail adds a treasure-hunt feel to the day, with everyone encouraged to explore as many venues as possible and discover a new favourite beer along the way. Anyone who completes their stamp card can hand it in at any of the seven venues to be entered into a prize draw for a bundle of beery prizes.
The trail’s artwork, including the poster’s sun-crowned Green Man character, has been created by Dick Vincent Illustration, an illustrator based right here in Macclesfield. The imagery runs through the stamp cards and signage at every venue, giving the trail a distinct local identity and tying the whole day back to the town it celebrates.
As much as it’s a showcase for great independent beer, the Macc Party Beer Trail is designed as a celebration of Macclesfield itself, its pubs, its people, and its independent spirit.
Stefan Melbourne, event and creative Mmanager, Track Brewing Co, said: “Following the success of Manchester’s Brewery Block Parties and Stockport’s Stock Party, we’re bringing the concept to beautiful Macclesfield with a few extra friends and a bit of a twist.
“Rather than a pop-up bar, we’re working with seven of the great independent venues we already supply, each paired with a guest brewery for a tap takeover. Seven venues, seven takeovers, one trail. See you in Macc.”
Charlie Harding, marketing manager at RedWillow Brewery & Bars, added: “We’re really excited to be part of the Macc Party Beer Trail. Cloudwater are one of the most exciting breweries in the country, and we can’t wait to pour some of their special, hard-to-get beers here at RedWillow.”
