Sheffield-based True North Brew Co is refining its hospitality portfolio with the sale of three properties within its estate.
The company said the sale of three of its pubs is part of a strategic move to strengthen and stabilise the business during a challenging period for the hospitality industry.
The properties included within this transaction comprise: The British Oak, Mosborough, Sheffield; The Milton Arms, Elsecar, Barnsley and The Old Grindstone, Crookes, Sheffield.
According to the group, rach of these venues has been an important part of the company’s estate, and careful consideration has been given to securing new ownership that will continue to operate them within the hospitality sector, preserving their character and role within their local communities.
Against a challenging hospitality backdrop, True North brew Co said it has taken a considered and proactive approach to protect the long-term health of the wider estate, focusing on preserving the strength of the core business while making carefully judged decisions where necessary.
As part of this process, the company remains fully committed to supporting its people. The sale and transfer are expected to complete within approximately two to three months, and throughout this period the wellbeing and future of employees will be a central priority.
All affected team members will have the opportunity to transfer to the new owners under TUPE arrangements should they wish. For those who would prefer to remain with True North Brew Co., every effort will be made to identify suitable alternative opportunities within the business.
Kane Yeardley, owner of True North Brew Co, explained: “This has not been an easy decision, but it is a necessary step to secure the long-term future of our company. We are committed to supporting our teams through this transition and ensuring our remaining venues continue to thrive.”
