Krones has strengthened its presence in what it calls “one of the world’s most important growth markets” for food and drink with the opening of a new plant in India.

According to the manufacturer, India is playing an increasingly important role for Krones with the group is already represented in the country through several companies and centres of competence.

With the new production facility, Krones is adding another important element to this network and making a targeted investment in the future of the Indian market. 

Ralf Goldbrunner, member of the executive board of Krones AG, said: “India is one of the world’s most dynamic growth markets. Krones manufacturers a state-of-the-art machines and complete lines for the areas of process, filling, and packaging technology.

The company already operates several locations in India, including Krones India and Krones Digital Solutions India in Bangalore, Krones Processing India in Hyderabad and System Logistics India in Mumbai.

Its new facility in Vemagal further expands this footprint and underscores the company’s long-term commitment to the Indian market.
