Julian represents the Maltsters’ Association of Great Britain, with over 45 years’ experience in industry including malting and brewing. A food scientist by training, Julian has held senior roles in the food & drinks industry, with particular expertise in food safety assurance, supply chain integrity, and technical governance. At MAGB, Julian leads engagement with UK and Scottish Governments to ensure the malting sector is recognised in evolving legislation and trade policy, while driving progress on sustainability and food safety.
