Beer School courses return to Leeds and London

Beer School, the brainchild of ZX Ventures, has been designed for beer trade professionals and craft beer enthusiasts.

The course prepares attendees for the Cicerone Certification Program and has been developed by Master Cicerones Mirella Amato and Rich Higgins, alongside Advanced Cicerone and Beer Academy Beer Sommelier, Jonny Tyson.

This latest round of Beer Professional & Education Training (BPET) Level 1 takes place in London and Leeds through a partnership with the Local Wine School, with Edinburgh and Manchester to follow in the future.

The Pro Beer Sommelier Course Level 1 course costs £365 and is a full two-day, 16 hour, tutored starter course that is intended to help prepare for the Cicerone Certified Beer Server Exam.

The London course takes place on 6th and 13th November, with more details available on www.Westlondonwineschool.com

Jonny Tyson, beer knowledge and education manager at ZX-Ventures, explained: “The number of breweries and the range of beers available in the UK has never been more exciting.

“As consumer knowledge of craft beer increases, consumers need help from staff who really understand beer flavours and styles, and can offer the best service to help consumers navigate through the vast number of choices available.”

He added: “This course is designed to help advance careers and equip bartenders, servers and sommeliers with in-depth knowledge that can help enhance the customer experience, drive sales and increase profits. And if you’re an enthusiast, the program will make you the go-to, in-the-know beer expert, amongst your craft beer loving friends!”
