Harbour Brewing Co. has unveiled a full refresh across its core range in what the company has called an “important step forward for the brand”.
The business, which has experiences a 41% increase in year-on-year sales, has worked with design studio Thirst to introducing a bolder, more distinctive identity across cans, glassware and tap handles
The Cornwall-founded brewery’s refreshed core range includes Helles Lager (4.0% ABV); Premium Pilsner (4.6% ABV); Session IPA (4.3% ABV),Bright Pale Ale (3.4% ABV), Juicy Lager Peach (4.0% ABV) and Hazy IPA (5.6% ABV).
“This isn’t simply a new pack design, it’s an important step forward for the brand,” said Eddie Lofthouse, founder and managing director of Harbour Brewing Co.
He added: “The new identity reflects the scale of the business today and the growing number of beer drinkers discovering Harbour across the UK – particularly in London, which is a key market for us.
“It gives us greater standout on shelf and at the bar while retaining the independent, coastal character our customers know and love. It’s important that our brand reflects our Cornish roots as well as our ambitions for the future.”
The brewery was founded in North Cornwall in 2012 and has grown from a single-site brewery into a nationally distributed craft beer brand.
“Harbour already had a brilliant spirit. We wanted to bottle that feeling,” explained Sam Cutler, Creative Director at Thirst. “We kept coming back to those moments after the action – when the boards are down, the sun’s still out and everyone settles in for a beer.
“The identity needed to feel as relaxed and playful as that, while working incredibly hard as a brand.
“There’s a huge amount of craft behind every decision, but hopefully what people notice first isn’t the design but the feeling. The hardest thing to create is something that feels effortless.”
