Euroboozer partners with Cervecera Peninsula as exclusive UK importer

Cervecera Peninsula has partnered with Euroboozer, who will exclusively bring a wide selection of beers over to the UK, including a beer brewed exclusively for the UK market.

Based in Madrid, Cervecera Peninsula was initially established in Venezuela, driven by Román Jove and his father’s passion for great beer. After training at the University of California, Davis, Román and his father decided to move to Spain in order to further develop their brewing project, taking over a brewery space on the outskirts of the Spanish capital.

With no attachments or guidelines, Cervecera Peninsula’s beers are bold and refined, heavily inspired by American microbreweries. Throughout the brewing process, the team strive to incorporate the experiences of their years in Colorado at the rise of the craft beer movement in the United States, and later the knowledge acquired by their Head Brewer in his studios in California.

For their partnership with Euroboozer, Cervecera Península have collaborated with the renowned speciality beer distributor to brew a brand new beer which is initially exclusive to the UK market. The pair identified that the brewer needed to showcase some of its Spanish flair in their cornerstone beer for the UK.

Perfect for the summer and named La Fiesta, the beer is a Spanish pale ale brewed with local oranges. The beer has oodles of juicy orange on the nose that comes through straight away on the initial sip, followed by lots of tropical hop characters in the middle, segwaying into a finish full of orange peel and a growing, drying bitterness that makes you reach for another sip. A Madrid based brewery coining a beer for the UK market. Where have we heard that before? At least this one has seen Spanish soil.

La Fiesta is now available in both 330ml cans and in 30L kegs, with the beers initially available at Graceland sites in London, Red Hand, Bethnal Green Tavern, Earl of Essex and The Axe. A first pour event will take place on Thursday 20th July at Red Hand (invite to follow). For the launch, Euroboozer are targeting high-end Spanish and Mediterranean restaurants and UK craft-focussed on-trade, plus speciality and multiple retailers.

On the new partnership with Cervecera Peninsula, Martyn Railton, MD of Euroboozer said: “For us, working with Cervecera Península just makes sense. They’re one of Spain’s most exciting breweries and we can’t wait for their beers to be available in the UK.

“We’ve also been working closely with Cervecera Peninsula for nearly a year now on La Fiesta and we’re really pleased with the final result. It’s a crushable Spanish pale ale loaded with Spanish oranges, absolutely perfect for the summer.”

Román Jove, founder of Cervecera Peninsula added, “following the success of the beers in Spain, we’re thrilled to be partnering with Euroboozer to help expand our customer base.”
