Holden’s Bottling expands with South East Bottling Packaging integration

Holden’s Bottling has acquired South East Bottling’s (SEB) small packaging operations, marking a strategic expansion of its small pack capabilities.

The agreement sees SEB’s entire small-pack packaging volume transferred to Holden’s, further strengthening our position as a leading provider of high-quality bottling and canning solutions.

Under the terms of the deal, Holden’s will take over SEB’s existing packaging business, ensuring a seamless transition for SEB’s customers while maintaining the high standards of service they have come to expect. SEB, meanwhile, will focus on its core brewing operations, allowing both businesses to thrive in their respective areas of expertise.

“This is a significant step forward for Holden’s as we continue to expand our small pack packaging capabilities,” said Mark Hammond, Managing Director of Holden’s Bottling.

He added: “By integrating SEB’s contract packaging volume into our existing operations, we are enhancing efficiency, increasing capacity, and providing a robust and reliable packaging service to a wider customer base. We look forward to welcoming SEB’s clients and continuing to deliver exceptional quality and service.”

The agreement also represents a strategic opportunity for SEB to refine its business focus. SEB Managing Director, Duncan Sambrook commented: “This deal enables SEB to concentrate on what we do best—brewing exceptional beer.

“Transitioning our packaging operations to Holden’s Bottling ensures that our customers continue to receive high-quality service while allowing us to strengthen and expand our brewing capabilities. We see this as an exciting opportunity to evolve our business and collaborate closely with Holden’s in the future.”

As part of the deal, Holden’s will now be able to offer nitrogen dosing for beer products, enhancing product stability and mouthfeel, particularly for stouts and nitro-infused beverages.

Additionally, Holden’s will gain the capability to fill still can products, broadening its service offerings to include a wider range of drinks beyond carbonated beverages.

SEB will continue to operate as a brewing specialist, with a long-term exclusive arrangement for Holden’s to provide contract packaging for its small pack volumes.

This ensures continuity and stability for both SEB and its customers.Holden’s Bottling remains committed to innovation, scalability, and customer satisfaction, and this acquisition underscores its ongoing investment in delivering high-quality packaging solutions to the beverage industry.
