London’s Guinness Open Gate brewery set for December opening

Guinness has announced that its Open Gate Brewery, located on the site of the historic Old Brewer’s Yard in London’s Covent Garden, will open on Thursday 11th December 2025.

The new 54,000ft2 venue “goes beyond a brewery”, blending beer innovation and a bold culinary programme with retail and community. Visitors will have the chance to enjoy a quality pint of the national favourite beer, after exploring a world leading microbrewery facility led by Master Brewer, Hollie Stephenson, the company said.

Chef Pip Lacey, formerly of Hicce and the Michelin-starred Murano will helm, Gilroy’s Loft and Porter’s Table restaurants. With casual courtyard dining at Old Brewer’s Yard, serving pints and pies by Chef Calum Franklin, alongside the main bar and outside seating.

Alongside a rotating range of limited-edition craft brews and seasonal specials, fans can experience: Step into the Pint: an intimate 360-degree immersive experience that tells the story of Guinness’s heritage within Covent Garden.

Exclusive Brewery Access: guided tour of the brand’s working brewery in the heart of Covent Garden. Brewer’s Room Tasting Experience: exclusive tasting sessions curated by Master Brewer, Hollie. Pour Your Own Pint: master the art of pouring and Guinness’ famous surge and settle ritual in the exclusive 232 Bar, open to tour visitors by invite-only 

Visitors can also explore community-first spaces like Old Brewer’s Yard and The Vaults, shop for Guinness memorabilia and the new fashion and culture collaborations at the Guinness Retail store.
