The Leeds-based brewery is now able to output up to 1,400 cans an hour with the new machine, which was supplied by MD Engineering Solutions.

According to Northern Monk’s head brewer Brian Dickson, the canning process is “so easy” with the new machine, and is delighted with the results.

The modular system features patented “world class” double seaming technology and can be upgraded to a higher output model, if required.

Matthew Horse, technical director at MD Engineering Solutions added: “We are extremely delighted with the new CE certified range of machines which, have been produced specifically for the UK and European Markets.

“Northern Monk have been canning their new limited edition range and been surprised by how simple the machine is to set up and use”.

The brewery launched its new limited edition canned beer range as part of the City of Industry festival in Leeds last weekend. (14-15 August).
