Philadelphia’s largest independent craft brewer, Yards Brewing, is to be acquired by B3 Beverage Company in a move that marks a shift in Pennsylvania’s brewing scene.
B3 Beverage Company, founded last year is a joint venture from Connecticut’s Two Roads Brewing, Philadelphia’s Yards Brewing and Pennsylvania-based Bald Birds Brewing.
But now Yards, which was founded in 1994 by Tom Kehoe and Jon Bovit will be fully taken over by B3 Beverage Company.
The brewery, which is known beers Philadelphia Pale Ale, Trash Talk IPA, Philly Standard Lager and also Brawler Champion Ale, is expected to remain in business as usual with the current management team in place.
