Signature Brew unveils festive Pale Ale

Signature Brew has launched a new festive pale ale that “celebrates old friends, favourite haunts and the soundtrack to coming home”.

Christmas No.1 is a 4% fruity pale ale with hints of orange peel, mango and resinous pine, the seasonal release celebrates the annual return to old haunts, familiar faces and the songs everyone still knows by heart.

Brewed at Signature Brew’s home in Walthamstow and available in cask and keg, it brings a fresh beer to a familiar occasion, putting the pub and the people inside it at the centre of the festive season.

For a brewery built around beer and music, Christmas No.1 is a fitting ode, the company said The songs become markers of where we were, who we were with and the Christmas’ we remember. Everyone has a favourite. Everyone has an opinion. Some arguments are practically family traditions.

Tom Bott, co-founder and managing director of Signature Brew, said: “Some of the best bits of Christmas happen in the pub you’ve been going to for years, with mates you don’t see nearly enough.

“You walk through the door, someone puts a familiar song on, and suddenly you’re picking up a conversation from last December.

“That’s what Christmas No.1 is about. Old friends, old haunts and a new beer on the bar. Pubs give us somewhere to come back to, and we wanted to celebrate that.”

Christmas No.1 will be available this festive period in 9-gallon casks and 30-litre kegs, until 31th December 2026.

Christmas No.1 will launch at the Gladstone Arms, SE1, on Wednesday 11th November 2026, from 5pm to 8pm. All recipients of this release are warmly invited to come along, meet the Signature Brew team and try the new beer.
