Siren continues popular crowdfunder

Reading-based Siren Craft Brew has raised more than £110,000 in a crowdfunding campaign ahead of its flagship tap room opening in Reading this May. The campaign closes Friday 19th April so supporters have just ten more days to get involved.

Siren will be bringing more than 30 lines of brewery fresh beer to the town centre, in a 3,800 sq ft space in the brand new Station Hill development. It will also feature a kitchen offering smash burgers and tasty, street-food inspired small plates, sharers and snacks.

Crowdfunder pledges start from £50. By joining in, customers can redeem their pledge, plus a bonus amount, as credit on the Siren webshop or as a bar tab in the new location. Along with the credit offering, there is also limited edition merchandise up for grabs and the opportunity to book an exclusive beer and food pairing, or attend a launch party for the new bar. Supporters will also have the chance to put their names up on the wall in the venue.

Siren Founder Darron Anley commented: “We’re blown away by all the support we’ve received so far, and to raise more than £100,000 is incredible. It’s really building the excitement to get our venue open this May. We’ve set up the campaign to try and get as many people involved as possible, this is a one-time opportunity to get 150% of your pledge back to spend in the new bar so we’ll keep doing our best to spread the word.”

Siren Craft Brew is the first food and beverage brand to commit to Station Hill, with the Berkshire brewery signing a 15-year lease for a 3,800 sq ft space at 1 Friars Walk. The brewery also operates a Tap Yard at its brewery in Finchampstead, and the George & Dragon country pub in Swallowfield.

The ambitious project is not only aimed at craft beer aficionados. Andy Nowlan, Siren’s head of marketing adds: “We don’t want this venue to just be for beer drinkers, first and foremost it should be a place that you and your family and friends, and their friends, want to spend time. So wines, cocktails and all kinds of non-alcoholic options will be given just as much attention as the beers.”

The project is hosted on the popular ‘Crowdfunder’ platform and can be found here:

The project will receive all pledges made by 19th April 2024 at 11:45am at which point the campaign will close.
