Brighton’s UnBarred is toasting a new chapter with a celebratory weekend.
UnBarred Taproom has established itself in Brightonās craft beer scene since 2019, when it opened its doors alongside the brewery as the beating heart of the UnBarred experience ā a place where locals could pull up a stool and drink the full range of UnBarred beers on draught, from core favourites to one-off limited edition releases, in an environment that actually felt like somewhere worth spending time.
Seven years on, the taproom is getting bigger. The opening of UnBarredās production brewery in Worthing over the last few weeks has freed up space to expand the Elder Place site whilst retaining brewing operations in Brighton as well as Worthing.
The team are celebrating in the best way possible: three days of £5 draught beers. The UnBarred Taproom Weekender runs Friday 17th to Sunday 19th April, with Brighton Pier-inspired games on throughout.
Friday evening gets the full treatment ā DJ Massive Arms takes over from 4pm, and from 7pm a half-hourly raffle runs alongside the drinking, with a ticket landing in your hand with every Ā£5 pint. The grand prize is a Ā£100 bar tab, which ā at these prices ā goes a long way.
General Manager Dan Harris said: āWe couldnāt be prouder of our taproom. The support from our community has been incredible and this celebration is really about saying thank you to everyone who has made it what it is today.
“We wanted to throw a proper party with great beers, music and atmosphere, whilst channelling our Brightonian roots and values. ā
