AI-powered intelligence tool for craft breweries launched

A new AI-powered insights engine that aims to help brewery teams move “from collecting data to actually understanding what it means” has been launched.

Beer30 Insights, which has been developed by The 5th Ingredient, integrates into brewery management software and is said to use hundreds of data points collected through the company’s Beer30’s software to provide easy-to-implement information, recommendations, and answers to questions users submit as prompts, they said.

The business said it gives owners and teams a practical way to put their data to work by drawing on a brewery’s actual operational measurements during brew, ferment, filter, BBT, package, yeast, quality, sensory, inventory, financial information, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), sales, and profitability trends.

Breweries make decisions every day that affect profitability, production, and growth. But finding the information behind those decisions can mean digging through reports, comparing spreadsheets, or spending hours trying to connect the dots. Those are hours that most brewery owners and operators simply don’t have available, the company explained in a statement.

The new software allows users to dive into operational challenges such as ‘Why are my yields decreasing?’ or quality-related analysis like “Compare the final gravities of my beers to target metrics”.

Pulkit K Agrawal, founder and CEO of The 5th Ingredient, said “The product mission for Beer30 has always been to provide breweries with proactive, predictive, and actionable insights.

“With the power of AI, breweries can now have those insights at their fingertips every day.

“We made the active decision to build this new Insights module in-app, as we don’t want breweries to need to pay for separate external AI licenses to use their data, configure an MCP, or learn how to code via API. Beer30 Insights is built on your data, and uses that same data to help you make the best decisions for your business.”
