Independent brewery Mondo Brewing Company has launched a six-week Crowdfunder to raise £25,000 and upgrade its much-loved Battersea taproom with supporters can get more than their money back in return.

The funds will go directly toward installing a new kitchen to serve great, fresh food, redesigning the bar to improve flow and create a better space for busy nights, adding a full coffee setup, making Mondo an all-day community hub from morning flat whites to evening pints.

“This Crowdfunder is about taking Mondo to the next level,” said Todd Matteson, co-founder and director at Mondo Brewing Company.

“Like so many independent breweries, we’ve faced some tough years but our community has always shown up for us. Now we’re asking for their help again, to upgrade the taproom and keep local beer culture alive in Battersea.”

For supporters contributing they can double their money from £25 > £50 up to £500 > £1000 which would also get you a T-Shirt, tote, engraved tankard coupled with a lifetime discount. Supporters not local to the taproom can also double their money via the brewery’s webstore, too.

“Mondo has always been about bringing people together,” says Matteson. “We know how important independent venues are to our communities and how fragile they can be. This crowdfunder is our way of making sure Mondo isn’t just surviving, but thriving for years to come.

The £25,000 goal will directly fund the next evolution of the taproom, helping Mondo grow into a space that truly reflects the community that built it.
