Nearly 400 figures from the beer, brewing and hospitality sectors descended upon The Big Penny Social in London on Tuesday. The aim? To celebrate, toast and recognise the very best in beer and brewing.
The awards dinner, which featured music from TFI Britpop, recognised the New Brewery of the Year, New Beer of the Year, Sustainability Champion, Best Branding, Diversity and Inclusivity Champion, Packaging Powerhouse, Beer of the Year, Brewer of the Year, Brewery of the Year, Young Brewer of the Year, and the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Tim Sheahan, editor of The Brewers Journal, commented: “It was a real joy to see the wealth of quality submissions across the board for this year’s awards. It was predictably challenging judging session to decide on the shortlist and eventual winners in each category. Everyone that made the shortlist should be very proud.
“A massive thanks to our judges and of course, as always. to my superstar co-host, Melissa Cole! Also a big, big thank you also to everyone for taking part and to our sponsors in ekeg, CleanEarth Energy and BarthHaas for helping make it all possible.”
