Gator gets aggressive after having a beer

Two men in Florida have been arrested for capturing an alligator from the side of the road, holding it down, and pouring beer down its throat, while one of the men used his arm as a gator-lure to get the huge reptile to open its mouth to drink the suds.

According to the police, Timothy Kepke, 27, and Noah Osborne, 22, filmed the incident. Allegedly, Kepke said Osborne grabbed the alligator with his bare hands from the side of the road. Kepke was then bitten by the gator on his right forearm while trying to get the reptile to open its mouth, before pouring the can of beer down its throat.

Kepke’s girlfriend, who witnessed the incident, said that the alligator appeared to become more aggressive after downing the beer. She believes, however, that the gator bit her boyfriend due to his own hostility shown towards the animal.

While Kepke admits to having a couple of beers, he told police that he was not drunk at the time of the incident and said that he and Noah let the gator go.

Because stupidity is not a crime in Florida, the men have been charged and released on bail for unlawfully taking an alligator.
