Little Creatures opens in London

Little Creatures has broadened its presence in the UK market with the launch of its brewery and taproom in London.

The Western Australian brewery has opened the doors on a 557sqm site in King’s Cross, which comprises a taproom, restaurant and six hectolitre capacity microbrewery.

The London site will enable Little Creatures to showcase a selection of its beers, as well collaborations with London-based breweries such as Lion stablemates Fourpure.

The six hectolitre brewery is run by head brewer Laura Smith, who has more two decades of experience in the beer industry.

Born in Liverpool then moving to New Zealand at two years old, she has returned to the UK to oversee this exciting project with Little Creatures.

Smith studied Microbiology and Biochemistry at university, and has worked for Lion, the food and beverage company that own Little Creatures, for more than 20 years.

Toby Knowles, regional director for UK & Europe at Lion, said: “London has been home to a real renaissance in world-class craft breweries in recent years and it’s exciting to be able to bring Little Creatures to such a vibrant market.

“Our aim for this venue is to embed the Little Creatures brand in the community, provide greater awareness and ultimately market the brand to an audience who already have a real interest in craft.

“Following the success of recent site launches in Asia, we can’t wait to introduce the brand to UK consumers and create a spiritual home for Little Creatures in London.”
