Talk title: A sense of place. How important is where a brewery makes their beer?
In his talk Adrian will discuss the benefits of celebrating the place where you make beer, telling the story, linking to a specific place. It will be focus how you can tell the story even if you are not in Burton or Bamberg, and tell the story well, which he will do by bringing in the great beer cities and brewery destinations plus a couple more modest case studies. As it gets harder for breweries to get into pubs, how can they get their hometown to become a great beer destination?

Adrian Tierney-Jones is an award-winning journalist and celebrated author who specialises in pubs, beer and travel. He contributes to range of publications and he has also written numerous books, which include his latest, ‘A Pub For All Seasons’. He lives in Exeter but can be often found talking in front of audiences about his travels through the beer lands of Europe.
