“I’ve been the Head Brewer at Adnams since 2021 and originally joined back in 2011 as a Heriot-Watt graduate. I’ve been fortunate to work at such an innovative brewery where there has been a commitment and investment in the brewing facilities whilst respecting heritage and pushing recipe creation. I love beer from all around the world, but the Belgium beer culture is of special influence. I love being involved in judging and sensory. It’s a mind palace and love the discussions it can provide.
 
The No&Lo journey Adnams has embarked resonates and is of reverence. For me fermentation is paramount whether it’s beer, non-alcoholic beer or fermented foods, it’s pretty primordial.
 
Working in Suffolk having grown up here is special, often referred to as boomerang county. It’s not just the surroundings but the team we have here, a super talented bunch with a commitment to continuous improvement. People see Adnams as maybe quite a big company from the outside, but actually we are a pretty small team and I consider my colleagues dearly. With that said I do get out of Suffolk, as I pine for the mountains from time to time…”
